A$AP Rocky on Friday surprise-dropped a new untitled track and music video with Playboi Carti.
The title of the single is not available, though Rocky did share the cut on Instagram with a caption reading “OUR DE$TINY.” At this time, it is unknown whether the track will imminently receive a DSP rollout.
The visual, directed by Evilgiane of Surf Gang, features a slew of VHS-style footage from both Rocky and Carti’s performances, behind-the-scenes views of the artists traveling to-and-from venues and all of the general chaos that comes with their lime-lit lifestyles.
Rocky, along with artists under his creative agency AWGE, are known to drop new tracks on the internet without officially making them available on streaming platforms. Notably, Carti’s “Cancun” has never officially been streamable outside of AWGE’s social accounts, and Rocky’s 2021 track “G-Unit Rice” has only ever been playable on his Instagram.
Presently, Rocky, whose last full-length effort, Testing, arrived just over four years ago, is in the midst of finalizing his next album and “concept project,” of which the name is still unknown. Carti, on the other hand, has hinted at a new project, allegedly titled Music, that could be coming soon.
