A24 has announced plans for a Talk to Me sequel titled Talk 2 Me, with the original writing and directing teams returning for the project.
The follow-up to the breakout Australian supernatural horror film will be written by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman, with Danny and Michael Philippou returning as the directors. Causeway Films co-founders Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton will produce the movie. No details of the plot have been released.
The original Talk to Me centers around a group of friends who discover how to conjure spirits using a mysterious embalmed hand and stars Sophie Wilde, Alexandra Jensen, Joe Bird, Otis Dhanji, and Miranda Otto. Watch a teaser for its sequel below.

Thanks to word of mouth and critical acclaim, it’s already one of A24’s highest-grossing horror flicks of all time. With a domestic gross of $22 million in 11 days, it’s already surpassed the final domestic total of last summer’s Bodies Bodies Bodies ($11.4 million) and is fast approaching The Witch ($25 million). A24’s highest-grossing horror film of all time is Hereditary, which tallied $44 million domestically.
Talk 2 Me joins other A24 franchises like Ti West’s X trilogy, which will continue with the upcoming MaXXXine starring Mia Goth, Halsey, Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, and Michelle Monaghan. West kicked it off with 2022’s X before following up with Pearl just months later.
