South Park fans can look forward to more of the comedy as it continues to celebrate its 25th anniversary this year. The second part of the made-for-TV movie South Park: The Streaming Wars will drop on Paramount+ on July 14, MTV Entertainment announced..
The first installment of the film was released on June 1 as the third TV film and 318th overall episode of the series. In The Streaming Wars, Denver is hit with a drought that results in drying streams and the implementation of water restrictions.
The movie saw the return of water park owner Pi Pi, a beloved character from South Park’s 13th season finale, which originally aired in November 2009.
South Park: The Streaming Wars 2 is only the fourth of 14 films that the series’ creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, agreed to create as part of a $900 million USD deal with ViacomCBS.
South Park: The Streaming Wars 2 premieres on Paramount+ on July 14. In the meantime, viewers can stream the first part of The Streaming Wars, as well as South Park: Post Covid and South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid.
In other entertainment news, Vince Staples secured a lead role in Showtime’s comedy pilot The Wood.
