Those born in the ’90s will be delighted to learn that Disney has decided to bring back the cult classic Gargoyles video game. The game originally released back in 1995 for the SEGA Genesis and became one of Disney’s most popular games in the era, with a soundtrack from Michael Giacchino, whose later projects include Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Lost and even Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
As you’d imagine, the Genesis title was based on a cartoon of the same name, which aired on the Disney Channel between 1994 to 1997 and followed the adventures of the nocturnal creatures that turned to stone during the day. After spending a millennium in an enchanted state, the group finds themselves reawakened in modern-day New York, becoming the night watchers for the city.
Other information revolving around the remaster remains scarce at the moment, but Dead Island Retro Revenge developer Empty Clip Studios will be taking on the project for Disney. For fans of the original cartoon and game, definitely stay tuned for more updates to come.
Elsewhere in gaming, Marvel’s Midnight Suns has finally received a release date.
