Riley and Benjamin share a father in musician Danny Keough. Lisa Marie and Danny divorced in 1994.
The actress continued, “I’m thinking of everyone whose [sic] lost someone they love and everyone else whose first Holiday it is with grief and without the person they love. And I’m also thinking of all of the beautiful people who can’t be here with us in physical form and sending them my love wherever they may be, not too far away.”
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled on July 14 that Benjamin’s official cause of death was a shotgun wound and the manner of death was ruled suicide. In October, he was laid to rest in Meditation Garden at Graceland, Elvis Presley’s former residence.
Lisa Marie’s rep told The Hollywood Reporter at the time, “She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter, Riley. She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”
