Fans were overjoyed that the clip features the rapper, who was previously recovering from shoulder surgery.

Topping the chart dated Dec. 5, “Life Goes On” officially becomes the first single to be sung primarily in Korean to hit No. 1 in the Hot 100’s 62-year history. It follows BTS’ first career chart-toppers: “Dynamite,” which was also their first English-language single, as well as their guest appearance on the remix of Jason Derulo and Jawsh 685’s “Savage Love (Laxed — Siren Beat),” which hit No. 1 in August and October, respectively.

The band’s latest Korean-language album, Be, also debuted atop the Billboard 200 upon its Nov. 20 release, giving the K-pop group their third consecutive No. 1 album following 2018’s Love Yourself: Tear and February’s Map of the Soul: 7.

In addition to their studio releases, BTS has kept remarkably busy as of late, dropping the Jungkook-directed music video for “Life Goes On,” performing at the 2020 American Music Awards, Good Morning America and The Late Late Show with James Corden, and most recently appearing in ABC’s The Disney Holiday Singalong on Monday night (Nov. 30) to sing their rendition of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.”
