Megan Thee Stallion Slams ‘Dumb Comment’ Criticizing Her ‘Protect Black Women’ Essay: ‘This Is Sad’

“I was recently the victim of an act of violence by a man. After a party, I was shot twice as I walked away from him,” Megan wrote for the NYT, in reference to the July incident in which Tory Lanez is accused of shooting her in the foot from outside his vehicle after an argument.

“We were not in a relationship. Truthfully, I was shocked that I ended up in that place. My initial silence about what happened was out of fear for myself and my friends. Even as a victim, I have been met with skepticism and judgment. The way people have publicly questioned and debated whether I played a role in my own violent assault proves that my fears about discussing what happened were, unfortunately, warranted.”

Despite the trolls, Megan also received an overwhelmingly positive response to her poignant thoughts. “so you woke up and decided to shake the table. I’m here for it, my queen,” one fan wrote.

“the hotties are so proud of you!!!!! we love you and support you always!! keep uplifting women all over the world!!!” another echoed. See below.
