RM Sotheby’s is set to auction an extraordinary 1995 Porsche 911 Remastered by Gunther Werks, featuring modern craftsmanship blended with classic Porsche heritage. Known as the Rennsport Aventura Commission, this one-of-a-kind creation is the final example of only 25 Carrera-based builds produced by the California-based firm.
Debuted at The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering in 2022, the Rennsport Aventura captivated enthusiasts with its bespoke livery and extensive carbon fiber integration. At its heart lies a naturally aspirated, air-cooled 4L flat-six engine, meticulously tuned by Rothsport Road and Race to produce an impressive 435 hp and 312 lb-ft of torque. This power is harnessed by a six-speed Getrag G50 manual transmission, enhanced with a lightened flywheel and clutch derived from the 997.2 GT3 RS.
Handling is equally exceptional, thanks to a JRZ suspension system with adjustable coil-overs and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, ensuring track-level performance with road-going refinement. Inside, the Rennsport Aventura boasts an 80 percent bespoke interior featuring two-tone perforated leather, anodized aluminum and carbon fiber accents, reflecting Gunther Werks’ attention to detail.
Originally commissioned for $778,888 USD, including over $200,000 in performance upgrades, this example remains in pristine, showroom condition with delivery mileage. Its rarity, combined with its craftsmanship, has the estimate set at upwards of $1,100,000 USD. Bidding registration is open at the time of writing, with the official auction set to take place on January 24 as part of RM Sotheby’s Arizona sale.
