One of 30 Lamborghini Diablo GTRs Surfaces for Sale

One of just 30 factory-built Lamborghini Diablo GTRs has surfaced for sale through Curated, offering enthusiasts a rare opportunity to own a piece of Lamborghini’s motorsport history. With a 6L V12 engine delivering 590 horsepower, this Blu Monterey-painted race car is an exceptional example of Lamborghini’s track-focused engineering of that era.

The 2000 Diablo GTR, chassis number ZA9EAGTR0YLA12560, was initially delivered in Giallo Evros before being resprayed by Lamborghini USA in its current striking Blu Monterey hue. Built exclusively for single-make racing, this car boasts a robust racing pedigree, including its participation in the 2001 Lamborghini Supertrophy series. Notably, it achieved a remarkable performance at the 2001 Monza Supertrophy Round 2, where driver Lee Cunningham earned the Top Gentleman Driver Trophy after climbing from 18th to 6th place.

As a successor to the Diablo SV-R, the GTR was designed as Lamborghini’s ultimate track machine. Carbon fiber panels, a full roll cage and weight-saving measures like Plexiglass windows and stripped interiors enhanced its aerodynamics and performance. With a top speed of 210 MPH, the Diablo GTR showcased Lamborghini’s commitment to motorsport.

This example, with just over 2,800 miles on the odometer, embodies the spirit of its creators, Marcello Gandini and Tom Gale. The car’s rarity, storied past and race-ready design make it a coveted collector’s item for those seeking a unique Lamborghini. Price is available upon request via Curated’s official site.
