Lana Del Rey has announced her new album, The Right Person Will Stay, slated for release on May 21st, 2025.
In a statement posted to Instagram, Del Rey said the 13-track album was made with country producer Luke Laird and her frequent collaborators Jack Antonoff and Drew Erickson “amongst others.” The singer also teased releasing “a few songs” before her performance at Stagecoach 2025 next April, starting with “Henry, Come On.”
Back in February, Del Rey teased a country album named Lasso, which was produced by Antonoff and recorded in Muscle Shoals, Nashville, and Mississippi. More recently, there was an apparent mistranslation in a Vogue Italia interview that it would instead have a “southern gothic” sound.

While the album’s musical direction remains uncertain, it’s worth noting that Del Rey didn’t push back against a country influence during a May interview with NME, in which she described the record as inspired by the American Songbook.
