Beyoncé nominated in all of Grammys’ country music categories after being shut out of CMAs

Beyoncé nominated in all of Grammys' country music categories after being shut out of CMAs

Beyoncé continues to make history with her acclaimed 2024 album, COWBOY CARTER, the sweeping odyssey through country music that has now accrued 11 nominations at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

Despite the fact that Beyoncé was entirely shut out at the 2024 CMA Awards, failing to land even one nomination, she was named in categories across genres at the 2025 Grammys Awards, which are scheduled to be celebrated on February 2nd. In addition to the prestigious Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Album of the Year categories, songs from COWBOY CARTER landed in country, pop, Americana, and melodic rap categories. See the list of all 11 nods below.

With this round of nominations, Beyoncé officially becomes the most-nominated artist in the history of the Grammy Awards with 99 nods across her storied career. COWBOY CARTER sits just behind the record set by Michael Jackson’s Thriller, which earned 12 nominations at the 1984 Grammy Awards. 11 nominations is also the most a woman has ever received in a single year at the Grammys.
