Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance are teaming up yet again in honor of ALD’s SONNY Basketball Club. To commemorate the inaugural international Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance SONNY basketball tournament in Paris, ALD and New Balance have served up another solid collaborative delivery.
Fronted by SONNY Youth Club members Amir Lawrence, Bryan DeLeon, and Jaden Rodriguez, the collection’s lookbook spotlights the Fall/Winter 2024 range of apparel and footwear.
Drawing cues from retro athleticwear, standout garments include navy and green tracksuits, an embroidered varsity jacket and a lineup of jerseys and mesh shorts. At the crux of the release, however, is the ALD x New Balance HESI LOW V2 basketball sneaker, which comes dipped in hues of the same navy and green, elevated with gold detailing throughout.
“More than family to ALD, these three young men are ambassadors of the Masaryk Community Gym and play pivotal roles within our SONNY Youth Club after-school program,” Aimé Leon Dore noted in a statement on its website. “This trip to Paris offered them an experience in a new city while allowing them to bring the pulse and essence of the NYC Masaryk Community Gym to this international tournament.”
