A$AP Ferg is locked in. After unleashing “Allure” with Future two weeks back, Ferg has dropped off another captivating cut.
Entitled “Thought I Was Dead,” the Harlem rapper hops on the high-octane Mike WiLL Made-It and Lex Luger-helmed production with his signature big persona and East Coast energy.
“Paris runway show (Show) / Ain’t Halloween, but we in a Ghost (Grr) / Vintage Cartier / I feel like Shedeur (Shedeur) / All of the b*tches stare / No one can compare (Oh no),” he spits over the horn-heavy beat at the close of the second verse.
The track comes accompanied with a striking music video as well, co-directed by Ferg himself alongside Sage English. The rapper alternates between a handful of high-fashion pieces, including an all-white angel-esque outfit in the opening, and lots of leather apparel from his FERG line.
A true homage to Harlem, Ferg hits the bodega (with his “Harlem Knight” gladiator gloves) and the nighttime Manhattan streets with his crew. He also holds up a pair of white FERG x Nike Air Force 1 Lows, complete with a FERG logo stamped on the tongue with “Official Uptown Gear” underneath.
Ferg’s next studio project is dubbed DAROLD, his birth name, and is set to drop everywhere on November 18.
