Noel Whelan has suggested to Football Insider that Leeds United will send Mateusz Bogusz out on loan in the summer transfer window.
The former Leeds striker, who now works as a pundit for BBC Radio Leeds, made the comments in response to recent remarks made by Bogusz.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder recently told Weszlo that he is not happy at not being chance to play first-team football at the Whites.
The promising youngster added that he feels ready to play a full 90 minutes in the Championship for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Bogusz, who has been at Leeds since January 2019, has made just one appearance for the club’s first team – against Stoke City in the EFL Cup.
The youngster has yet to make his league debut for the West Yorkshire outfit, and Whelan has suggested that he could be sent out on loan.
Whelan told Football Insider about Bogusz: “I’m sure they’ve got big plans for most of their young players because they’ve excelled, especially last season and this season,
“They’ve done very well, everyone’s given themselves a fighting chance to try and break into the first team but you can’t push the fact, you can’t push your way in there.
“Now there might be a loan that comes up this year and after this, the club might go: ‘Well yeah, actually, after this you can go.’”
Leaving Leeds United on loan
Leeds have a very good team, and it is hard to see Bogusz break into the senior side’s midfield next season.
If the Whites get promoted to the Premier League, then they are likely to make new additions to the team, and that will create more obstacles for Bogusz.
The Championship is suspended at the moment due to the coronavirus pandemic.
