Tesla’s Cybertruck has been plagued with issues since launching last year. The vehicle has just been issued its fifth recall in 2024 alone.
The latest recall affects 27,000 Cybertrucks and stems from the car’s rearview camera. The camera’s image may be delayed between six and eight seconds, meaning the feed isn’t showing up on the dashboard in real time.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the maximum allowance for a delay is two seconds and the issue can cause crashes when the Cybertruck is backing up. Tesla has since released a software update to amend the issue.
In June, the Cybertruck was recalled over the possibility that the windshield detaches while driving. The car was also recalled in April for a stuck accelerator pedal.
