Porsche has unveiled the 911 Turbo 50 Years, a limited-edition model celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic 911 Turbo. Revealed during this year’s Monterey Car Week, this exclusive sports car pays tribute to Porsche’s rich heritage, blending cutting-edge performance with nods to the brand’s storied past.
Limited to 1,974 units worldwide, the 911 Turbo 50 Years is based on the 2025 911 Turbo S. The model’s design draws inspiration from historic 911 Turbo models, featuring unique elements like decals inspired by the 1973 Porsche 911 RSR Turbo and a special Turbonite color scheme exclusive to Turbo models. The rear wing, lower fascia and air intake grilles are finished in Anthracite Grey, with special badging marking the car’s anniversary status.
Inside, the 911 Turbo 50 Years echoes the design language of the 1970s. The interior is adorned with MacKenzie tartan upholstery, a nod to the original 911 Turbo models, with additional contrasts in Turbonite. Exclusive touches include an illuminated “turbo 50” model designation on the door sills and a bespoke aluminum plaque above the glove compartment, highlighting each car’s unique production number.
For those seeking even more nostalgia, Porsche offers a Heritage Design Package. This package adds elements like an Aventurine Green Metallic exterior, vintage Porsche crests and extended tartan accents throughout the interior. The package also includes distinctive design elements like gold-painted model designations and a green-themed instrument cluster.
Performance-wise, the 911 Turbo 50 Years retains the formidable capabilities of the 911 Turbo S, boasting a 640 hp 3.7L twin-turbo engine that propels the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds. It comes with advanced features like Porsche Traction Management and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The 911 Turbo 50 Years is priced at $261,100 USD, with deliveries expected in late 2024. Accompanying the car is an exclusive Porsche Design chronograph, also limited to 1,974 units, designed to complement the vehicle’s aesthetics.
