Chlöe Announces Sophomore Album ‘Trouble In Paradise’

Chlöe Announces Sophomore Album 'Trouble In Paradise'

Chlöe has announced her sophomore album Trouble in Paradise after her debut album In Pieces came out last year. The singer announced the album on Instagram with the cover and close release date (8/9) after she had been teasing for the past couple of months.

Most of the album was recorded in Saint Lucia, where the singer sang songs about celebrating coming into her womanhood and just having some fun in the Caribbean. The album will reunite Chlöe x Halle after three years as Halle is featured on the track “Want Me.”

Two singles from the album “FYS” and “Boy Bye” were released in March and April. “FYS” stands for “F*ck Your Status” and the slower R&B song embodies a carefree attitude. “Boy Bye” is more upbeat and influenced by pop as Chlöe sings “Boy, bye / Bye / I won’t even cry (cry) / You stupid motherf*cker / Boy, bye / Bye / I won’t even cry / Go cry to your momma.” The two tracks highlight the theme of the album as the singer ditches her boy problems to focus on having fun herself.

Trouble in Paradise comes out this Friday, August 9. You can stream “Boy Bye” and “FYS” down below.
