Quavo has been in his collab era as of late, recently dropping off tracks with Lana Del Rey and Peso Pluma earlier this summer. The rapper has taken to Instagram to preview his imminent single featuring yet another A-list musician: Lenny Kravitz.
Presumably called “FLY” per Quavo’s Instagram captions, the rapper confirmed today that the track – which features a prominent sample of Kravitz’s “Fly Away” – is dropping on streaming Friday. The final clip sees Kravitz and Quavo walking toward the camera with the longest snippet of the cut yet.
“I’m feelin’ the wave / I wanna fly (I wanna fly) / Let’s get geeked, let’s get drunk, let’s get high (Let’s get high),” Quavo raps. “Don’t go on a plane (Phew) / I’m sittin’ in jet way / You already no which way we goin’ (Go), that way (Top).”
The Migos rapper shared the first black-and-white preview of the track in the middle of last week, writing “Flyest in the room u jus passed the moon … Fly’n Soon!!!” He continued to drop new snippets of the music video shoot, writing “This Is Not a VS!!!,” in one caption, as the video zooms in on Kravitz on guitar.
Keep an eye out for Quavo and Kravitz’s “FLY” which drops everywhere this Friday, August 9.
