Lil Uzi Vert Contradicts Previous Retirement Announcement With Confirmation of 'Eternal Atake 2'

It looks like Lil Uzi Vert isn’t ready to hang it up just yet as they recently announced that they have a new album in the works.

The artist confirmed the news in a recent interview, answering “Eternal Atake 2” when they were asked if they have any new music coming up. Additional details, including a release date, were not confirmed, but this does refute Uzi’s own retirement announcement from October 2023.

Uzi previously stated that they’re looking forward to retiring and “living a normal life” following the release of Luv Is Rage 3.  “I came to this conclusion not too long ago,” they shared. “I was gonna, like, wait ’til later to say it, but, you know, I’m dropping Luv Is Rage 3, and, you know, Luv Is Rage 3 will be my last album.”

“Relax, it’s okay,” they consoled their disappointed audience. “After Luv Is Rage 3, I guess I will go on another tour for Luv Is Rage 3. But after that, I want to try to live a normal life. Thank you for all your support and thank you for supporting me in my decision. I’ll make sure that I give it my all on Luv Is Rage 3 this time because we gotta keep the legacy going. Thank you.”

In December that same year, they claimed that their post-music foray will be into women’s clothing, and that construction of their clothing company’s home office has already begun.

Stay tuned more info on both albums.
