Following the release of his latest studio album, Hardstone Psycho, Don Toliver has linked back up with Nicolai Marciano, creative director of GUESS Jeans, for the next installment in their ongoing collaboration: a one-of-a-kind bespoke motorcycle made in partnership with Powerplant Motorcycles’ Yaniv Evan.
The Harley-Davidson bike, which took over 2,000 man-hours to produce from scratch, blends in with Toliver’s larger Hardstone universe with Frisco-style skinny tires, a custom gun-fighter seat and two fire-engine red cylinders. A ’90s-inspired chainlink riffs on Toliver’s own wallet chain, which he brought to Powerplant’s garage for their first meeting, while ’70s-coded design details, like patinated paint jobs and Hardstone-engraved rocker boxes, complement the bike’s own history.
“GUESS did a fantastic job making sure the bike was just how I wanted it, and Powerplant made it all happen,” Toliver said in a statement. “I really enjoyed working with them both.”
Toliver first linked with Marciano in 2021, for a GUESS Originals capsule that aligned with the artist’s sophomore album, Life of a Don. Since then, Marciano has maintained a close relationship with Toliver, crafting a custom leather tour wardrobe for the musician’s tour that followed.
The one-of-one bike is not for sale. It’s currently housed in Los Angeles, and it’ll likely pop up in Toliver’s future Hardstone visuals. Take a look at the design in the gallery above.
