midwxst – BACK IN ACTION 4.0

midwxst dropped off the fourth installment in his BACK IN ACTION mixtape franchise, joining forces with Don Kenji and DC The Don. “It’s a perfect mixture of loud 808’s and confident lyrics that pay homage to the car culture and street racing scene,” he says in a statement. “As a kid, I was obsessed with cars — from building them on ROBLOX, to playing The Need for Speed video games, until the sun came up — this obsession helped fuel my creative journey for this project. Similar to the spirit of racing itself — always pushing forward – BACK IN ACTION 4.0 will definitely make you want to put your foot on the gas and never let up, which I don’t plan to do any time soon.”

Liam Benzvi x Blood Orange – “Other Guys”

Liam Benzvi enlists Blood Orange for his new single “Other Guys,” reveale=ing that the track is the final product of a demo created in 2016. “I think it’s pretty obvious what it’s about — rediscovering yourself, being social, being sexual, knowing what you like or don’t like,” he says. “‘Six degrees I’m On You’ is in reference to how small the world feels sometimes. Dev is one of my good friends and I already knew our voices sounded nice together, so having his vocals on the song added the most perfect texture, and I’m so beyond content with how it all came out. Co-producing it all between New York and LA with Nightfeelings, Middle Part, and Frank Corr was also extremely gratifying and fun.”
