JOOPITER, Pharrell’s content platform and digital-first auction house, has announced its seventh sale, titled Joyride. The offering features a collection of rare and custom cars, which JOOPITER curated alongside Morton Street Partners.
The sale includes 11 vehicles from leading automakers, including Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, Mitsubishi, Lancia, Mercedes-Benz and Nissan. The automobiles come from the collections of Michael Strahan, Scarr Pimentel, Devon Turnbull and Phil Toledano.
Among the standouts, Turnbull’s 1993 Mercedes-Benz Ojas G-Wagon Overland Truck is set to fetch between $200,000 USD and $250,000 USD, while the 2017 Mitsubishi Fuso Canter 4×4 Camper Teahouse Truck, designed with Turbell’s Ojas speakers, is estimated to sell for the same figures. The 2008 BMW 328i Kenny Scharf “Karbombz!”, painted with Scharf’s classic bold artwork, is looking to earn somewhere between $250,000 USD and $300,000 USD.
Elsewhere, JOOPITER is selling the 1996 De Tomaso Guarà, 1997 Ferrari 550 Maranello, 1991 BMW 850i Dinan, 1990 Lancia Delta Integrale “Bastarda”, 1993 Nissan Skyline GT-R, 1999 Mercedes E55 AMG, 1993 Porsche 968 Club Sport and 1992 VW Golf Country.
“Joyride has been curated to appeal to new and traditional collectors alike, with an underlying focus on art, popular culture, and current market trends,” said Caitlin Donovan, head of global sales at JOOPITER, in a statement. “Morton Street Partners’ invaluable knowledge of the traditional automobile, art and design markets has resulted in a modern approach to the traditional category, with participation from a group of celebrated New York-based collectors.”
JOOPITER’s Joyride auction will be open for bidding from May 1 to May 8 on the auction house’s website. The cars will be on view at Morton Street Partners’ New York showroom. Take a look at a selection of the vehicles in the gallery above.
