Interpol perform concert for 160,000 people in Mexico City

Interpol played a free concert for an audience of 160,000 people in Mexico City on Saturday night.

The show took place at Zócalo, a historic ceremonial square in Mexico City. As a record audience watched on, the band performed a career-spanning 21-song set that included “Evil,” “All the Rage Back Home,” “Obstacle 1,” “C’mere,” and “Slow Hands.” A full replay of the concert is streaming below.

Not only was the event the biggest show of Interpol’s career, but it’s Mexico’s most-attended concert of the year so far. In a statement, the concert was characterized as “an opportunity for Interpol to give back to their long and dedicated Mexican fanbase who have supported them impeccably over the years.”

Beginning in May, Interpol will embark on an international tour that includes a mix of festival performances, dates supporting Smashing Pumpkins, and their own run of headlining shows. Check out their updated tour itinerary below, and purchase tickets here.
