Born Luke Duncan Malong, Lucas Raps is a rapper based in Cape Town, whose musical journey began in October 2016 with a performance alongside Nasty C at the East Coast Radio Huawei Durban Day. With a solid reputation in the industry, he has become a coveted figure for collaborative songwriting ventures. His career milestones include signing with DJ Maphoris’s BlaqBoy Music label in 2018 and achieving fame through his joint effort with Dr Peppa on the track ‘What It Is’ alongside Riky Rick and Chang Cello in 2019.
For his part, Sizwe Alakine, better known as Reason, is a prominent figure in South Africa’s music scene, with a portfolio brimming with creative collaborations and contributions. His breakthrough came through joint projects with Ms Nthabi, leading to collaborations with top artists such as Stogie T, ProVerb, DJ Maphorisa, Kwesta, and HHP. Transitioning to the moniker Sizwe Alakine, he ventured into the amapiano music scene, marking a new chapter in his versatile career. Currently, he is riding high with the success of his hit collaboration ‘Imithandazo’ alongside Kabza De Small, Young Stunna and Mthunzi, showcasing his abilities as a dynamic and evolving artist.
