Michael W. Smith, the Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter, has unveiled his eagerly awaited EP “Worthy Is The Lamb,” adding another remarkable chapter to his worship repertoire.
This 5-track EP, now accessible for streaming and download on all digital platforms, showcases Smith’s exceptional talent and unwavering dedication to his art.
Recorded live alongside the Nashville Recording Orchestra and choir in 2023, this EP represents the culmination of Smith’s collaboration with Franklin Graham and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for a special Easter event. It introduces a fresh co-written single with Tony Wood titled “Crimson Dust,” alongside poignant renditions of beloved classics like “In Christ Alone” and “Agnus Dei.”
Discussing the significance of “Crimson Dust,” Smith shares, “This song vividly portrays Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, reminding us of the profound impact it had on history. I envision people worldwide joining together in song, proclaiming ‘Holy, Holy, Holy, Jesus Lamb of God.’”
Expressing his gratitude on Instagram, Smith writes, “I’m deeply thankful for the opportunity to reimagine and record these songs with the incredible orchestra and choir in Nashville. Their beautiful arrangements and voices truly brought these songs to life.”
