KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A woman-oriented shopping event took over the Kalamazoo County Expo Center in Kalamazoo Saturday.
The 14th-annual Women’s Lifestyle Expo featured something for every woman.
A wide array of businesses and organizations were showcased, offering everything from shopping to massages and more.
For organizers, supporting local women in their business ventures is one of the pillars of the event.
“I think it’s so important not only to support small, local business, but to support women in business,” said Heather Dombos, owner of the Women’s Lifestyle Expo.
“I have a real passion for really supporting young women just starting out in business, and I love to invite them out and showcase their businesses and their talents,” she added.
In addition to local businesses, the event featured an exotic petting zoo, bounce houses, face painting, a DJ, and female officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
Aroma Labs made an appearance, forming signature fragrances for participants.
“It’s bringing the community together, ,” said Brea Oakes, owner of Brea Oakes Photography Studio, a boudoir photography studio.
“I think it’s important that women do continue to empower each other, and just be there to support one another,” she added.
The 15th-annual Women’s Lifestyle Expo is scheduled for March 21-22, 2025, according to organizers.
