Fender Celebrates 70 Years of the Stratocaster With Limited Edition Lineups

Fender is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the iconic Stratocaster with limited edition lineups.

The Limited Edition Stratocaster lineup includes the Player Stratocaster with a Nebula Noir finish, an American Professional II Stratocaster with a Comet Burst finish, a Vintera II Antigua Stratocaster, American Vintage II 1954 Stratocaster in 2-Color Sunburst, American Ultra Stratocaster HSS in Amethyst. Meanwhile, the Fender Custom Shop models offer a 70th Anniversary Stratocaster with elevated features from the golden era of the Strat in Bright Sapphire Metallic, a 1954 Stratocaster with a Wide Fade Two-Color Sunburst lacquer finish, a 1954 Stratocaster Relic in Wide Fade Two-Color Sunburst, Aged White Blonde, Aged Black and Super-Faded Aged Surf Green, a 1954 Roasted Stratocaster Journeyman Relic with the Journeyman Relic lacquer finish in Wide Fade Chocolate Two-Color Sunburst, Natural Blonde, ’55 Desert Tan, Aged Black, Cimarron Red and Aged Desert Sand and, finally, 1954 Hardtail Stratocaster DLX Closet Classic in Two-Color Sunburst, Dirty White Blonde, Super/Super Faded Aged Shell Pink, India Ivory and Faded Aged Canary Yellow.

In addition, artists such as Tom Morello, Tash Sultana, Nile Rodgers and more come together for the Voodoo Child: Forever Ahead of Its Time campaign film — which is billed as “a powerful testament to the Stratocaster’s enduring significance as a musical pioneer and the perfect homage to one of its most legendary riffs.”
