Dodge Unveils Its First All-Electric Muscle Car Lineup

Dodge has just made a big innovation to its iconic Charger lineup, introducing electrified examples of the Charger Daytona, Daytona Scat Pack and Daytona R/T — marking the first time the brand has offered an all-electric muscle car.

Leading the charge of this new lineup is the Daytona Scat Pack, boasting an impressive 670 hp, expected to sprint from 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and cover a quarter-mile in an estimated 11.5 seconds. For those looking for slightly less intensity, the Daytona R/T delivers a robust 496 horsepower.

In addition to electrified models, Dodge has also unveiled new gas-powered options, including two “SIXPACK” models, powered by the 3.0L Twin Turbo Hurricane engine, offering a choice between the high-output 550 hp SIXPACK H.O. and the 420 hp SIXPACK S.O. iterations. This diversity is designed to provide enthusiasts with a range of powertrain options that best suit their preferences, all while benefiting from improved horsepower and torque, as well as cleaner energy systems.

“The electrified 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack delivers Charger Hellcat Redeye levels of performance and announces its presence through the world’s first Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, while Hurricane engine-powered Dodge Charger SIXPACK models will give the Brotherhood of Muscle a gas option that produces better horsepower and torque numbers than the outgoing 5.7- and 6.4-liter HEMI engines,” said Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Dodge, adding “The next generation of Dodge muscle has arrived.”

Notable aspects of the electrified Charger models include a sophisticated 400V propulsion system, ensuring zero emissions without sacrificing performance. The system is designed to emulate the muscle car experience with instant torque and aggressive acceleration, thanks to a high-capacity battery and dual electric drive modules.

With the new Dodge Charger, the brand not only introduces a powerful electric muscle car but also redefines performance dynamics with features like PowerShot mode, high-performance brakes and an array of drive modes including Drag, Track and Drift, ensuring an exhilarating driving experience.

Additionally, the Dodge Charger Daytona models feature patent-pending Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, which delivers Hellcat levels of sound intensity that set the Charger apart from ordinary BEVs. Another notable feature on the Daytona model is a patent-pending front “R-Wing” pass-through, designed to provide added downforce.

The new models are expected to begin production in mid-2024 and early 2025, in the meantime, learn more about the new range in the video below.
