First week album projections for ScHoolboy Q‘s BLUE LIPS are here.
HITS Daily Double reports that Q’s first album in five years is forecasted to open with 30,000 to 35,000 equivalent album units after one day of sales and streams. The final tally remains to be seen, however fans should lower their hopes of a deluxe edition releasing any time soon — the TDE staple himself wrote on X that he doesn’t plan on dropping another version of BLUE LIPS. “Labels & artist kinda killed da deluxe,” he tweeted. “it’s a scam.. no way I’m adding 3-4 songs to my album a week after it drop.”
Q continued, “I work 2 Hard on my craft for a extra 2k in sales[.] nobody cares.”
BLUE LIPS’ 2019 predecessor CrasH Talk opened with a total of 81,000 equivalent album units and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, giving Q his third top 10 effort.
