Tierra Whack has been rolling out her new World Wide Whack album, the follow-up to 2018’s Whack World.
The singer has already dropped two songs from the LP, “Chanel Pit” and “Shower Song.” She now returned with a third single entitled “27 Club.”
“I can show you how it feels / When you lose what you love (When you lose),” she sings. “When your life gets hard but it’s simple / When everybody ’round you suspenseful.”
Other lyrics on “27 Club” are much darker, making references to the tragic phenomenon, which describes a group of famous musicians who have passed away at the age of 27.
An accompanying music video makes the track even more eerie. Whack dresses as a clown joined by cheerleaders and marching band leaders. She performed directly into the camera, holding a psychedelic pair of glasses up to conceal her eyes.
