Beyoncé announces new album Act II, due out on March 29th

Beyoncé has announced the release of her new album, Act II, which will be out on March 29th via Columbia Records. The first two singles, “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages,” are out now and streaming below.

Marking the sequel to 2022’s Renaissance, Queen Bey’s eighth album to date is shaping up to be a foray into country music after she celebrated 1970s Black dance club culture in Act I of a planned trilogy.

Beyoncé teased the release of Act II in a Super Bowl commercial for Verizon, which culminated her in saying, “Okay, they ready. Drop the new music.”

With a new album on the way, it’s highly likely that reports of Beyoncé lining up a residency at the MSG Sphere in Las Vegas could come to fruition. Should the venue ink her to a deal, it would be a nice change of pace from U2, Phish, and Dead & Company.

Earlier this month, JAY-Z gave a speech at the Grammys pointing out that while his better half has been highly decorated at the awards show, she has never won Album of the Year. Perhaps that will all change following the release of Act II.
