Adult Swim is offering a closer look at the anime adaptation of Rick and Morty. The five-episode run of the Japanese-language series was teased last month with a brief trailer.
For the adaptation, Rick and Morty’s original creator Dan Harmon is returning, alongside the voice actors for its Japanese dub, with Yōhei Tadano voicing Rick Sanchez and Keisuke Chiba as Morty Smith.
Adult Swim has now shared a new trailer for Rick and Morty: The Anime. The video opens with Rick drinking from a flask.
“Despite the fact there are an infinite number of paths available to us, we only get one life to pick from,” Rick says. “It’s pretty dumb, huh?”
The scientist continues contemplating life in between swigs and holds up a mysterious glowing vial. A young Morty watches on, seemingly mesmerized.
Similar to last month’s teaser, the visual doesn’t offer much in the way of specifics. Rick and Morty: The Anime is reported to be a continuation of the overarching plot of the mainline series but is said to feature entirely new stories in each episode.
