In case the constant weather warnings and relentless downpours haven’t delivered the message: January has arrived. Whilst the season is synonymous with blustery forecasts and drizzly days, it is not without its more subtle delights. Frequent showers bring out the inimitable, earthy fragrances of nature whilst restoring parched fields to their vibrant green glory. Whilst fallen leaves reveal bony trees, their gothic silhouettes are something to behold in themselves.
With fewer hours of available sunlight, I’m feeling more and more compelled to spend the rare few in the comfort of the outdoors, but aforementioned drizzles frequently get in my way. However, newly inspired by Rachel Stevens, I think I’ve finally stumbled across the wet-weather solution that marries functionality with fashion to see me through my winter walks in style.
