JID kicked off 2024 the only way he knows how. The Dreamville rapper dropped off “30 (Freestyle)” on YouTube to ring in the new year, a follow-up to last year’s YouTube exclusive “29 (Freestyle).”
“jus put some raps on YouTube to start the year off right!!” he announced on Instagram. “30 (Freestyle)” hears the rapper spit a slew of straight fire over a beat produced by Conductor Williams, Christo and Tane Runo. “I did that freestyle on tour in Poland,” the rapper shared on X.
“30 is fye bro, just raw raps about what ever came to my head, I’m excited about music and inspired/blessed to be doin this sh*t fr,” he wrote in another tweet.

He brings this same braggadocious swagger to the track, asserting “If all these rats racin’, I’m comin’ in last place / Snakes in the grass, I haul ass at a fast pace / Offense, autographed the ball, I pass great / I’m an athlete, turn your favorite rapper to the ashes in an ashtray.”
The trippy visualizer sees JID deliver the cut from his windowsill, as the hard-hitting lyrics and stop-motion-esque visual sequences flash across the screen.
