Pharrell Williams may be the Creative Director of Louis Vuitton since taking the reins in February, but that hasn’t stopped him from hitting the studio. The artist previewed an unreleased song at Louis Vuitton Men’s Pre-Fall 2024 runway show in Hong Kong late last month. Today, he’s released it onto streaming platforms.
True to the overseas journey Williams took the brand on, the new track is called “Airplane Tickets.” Williams serves as producer, enlisting Rauw Alejandro and Swae Lee as guest artists.
“Only thing she care about is whereabouts / Eye contact, she stare me down, wanna wear me out,” Lee raps. “She said it without sayin’ it / We link up, proper plannin.’”
Alejandro joins in on the second verse of the upbeat song, rapping in his native Spanish.
The Hong Kong show wasn’t the first time Williams has used his new platform to place music at the forefront. For his debut runway as Creative Director, he reunited Clipse – the hip-hop duo of brothers Pusha T and No Malice – for a live performance.
Stream Pharell William’s “Airplane Tickets” featuring Swae Lee and Rauw Alejandro everywhere now.
