Amazon purchased the rights to create a live-action adaptation of Interplay Entertainment’s Fallout game back in 2020. The Atompunk game itself has been around since the late 1990s and follows a group of people living in fallout shelters who are ultimately forced to return to the land their ancestors abandoned 200 years prior.
The first trailer for Amazon’s take on Fallout is finally out and offers a look at how the series will introduce some of the game’s signature characters and settings, such as The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) and the wretched Wasteland.
“I do not think you would be willing to do what it takes to survive up here,” Purnell’s character Lucy is told in the trailer. “If you insist on staying, then you will have to adapt.”
Ella Purnell stars in the show, alongside Goggins and Aaron Moten. The series is being helmed by Kilter Films with executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy.
