Lebron James is a Hall of Famer in the making and with his first official museum, it puts the athlete in the right direction to transcend being just an iconic figure on the court. The LeBron James Family Foundation is opening the world’s first official LeBron James museum. LeBron James’ Home Court is set to be a multimedia storytelling experience that gives fans a look at LeBron’s life in a never-before-seen journey that features unique memorabilia from the his personal life from Akron to the NBA to the Olympics and even in business and philanthropy.
The museum is dedicated to all of LeBron James’ milestones and will be located at House Three Thirty in Akron, Ohio. The immersive experience begins with recreating his Spring Hill Apartment #602, curated by his mother Gloria James. It takes fans on a journey through his historic Fab Five years at St. Vincent – St. Mary’s, his 2003 NBA Draft, as well as his championship runs in Cleveland, Miami and Los Angeles. His Olympic gold-medal winning years are highlighted alongside his business and philanthropy ventures and his sense of community. Some important pieces include his all-white 2003 NBA Draft suit, the infamous 3-1 drum set, his high school McDonald’s All-American jersey and the original TV from his Spring Hill apartment.
In a statement, LeBron said, “My dream was always to put Akron on the map, so to have a place in my hometown that allows me to share my journey with my fans from all over the world means a lot to me. I;ve been known to hang on to a lot of things over the years, and I always knew there would be a time and place to bring them out. I’m so proud that place is House Three Thirty, a space my Foundation created to serve my I Promise families and the entire community.”
The LeBron James’ Home Court museum opens on November 25 and tickets are now available for presale.
