Lil Uzi Vert is no stranger to throwing around the retirement card, but based on the sincere statement the rapper gave at a recent Pink Tape Tour performance in Chicago, maybe this time they’re serious.

“I came to this conclusion not too long ago,” Uzi says to the audience – who seems to be expecting good news, like an early Luv Is Rage 3 release. “I was gonna, like, wait ’til later to say it, but, you know, I’m dropping Luv Is Rage 3, and, you know, Luv Is Rage 3 will be my last album.”
“Relax, it’s okay,” they console the disappointed audience. “After Luv Is Rage 3, I guess I will go on another tour for Luv Is Rage 3. But after that, I want to try to live a normal life. Thank you for all your support and thank you for supporting me in my decision. I’ll make sure that I give it my all on Luv Is Rage 3 this time because we gotta keep the legacy going. Thank you.”
Uzi has yet to follow up on their claims from the Chicago show and did not address Barter 16’s release either.
In other music news, Green Day announced its 14th studio LP, Saviors, and dropped off the new track, “The American Dream Is Killing Me.”
