A new trailer is out for the anime adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki’s manga, Rurouni Kenshin. The series originally ran for 24 volumes between 1994 and 1999 and follows a wandering samurai dedicated to protecting the citizens of Japan.
The show’s first cour debuted in July 2023 on Fuji TV’s Noitamina, and this second cour is slated to arrive on October 5, picking up where the series last left off. In the trailer, Kenshin shows off some of his impressive swordsman skills across a variety of fast-paced battles.
The video also previews the opening track, “Rurou no Katashiro” by Masaki Suda x Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, as well as the closing theme, “Sonzai Shōmei (Existence)” by KID PHENOMENON.
Sōma Saitō has returned in the lead role, alongside Rie Takahashi as Kaoru Kamiya. Other members of the cast include Taku Yashiro, Makoto Koichi, Yūma Uchida, Saori Ōnishi and Satoshi Hino.
