Taylor Swift loans Sophie Turner her New York apartment amid Joe Jonas divorce

Taylor Swift is continuing to help out Sophie Turner amid her increasingly messy divorce from Joe Jonas. After a judge ruled that the couple’s children must stay in the US during the separation, Swift lent the UK-born Turner an apartment of hers in New York City.

For those behind on the drama, Turner sued Jonas last week for the “wrongful retention” of their two young children, claiming the singer refused to return their kids’ passports and allow them to return to the UK with their mother despite agreeing that it would be the family’s “forever home.” Shortly after, a judge ruled that the children must stay in the US for the time being.

That’s where Swift comes in. The popstar — who herself dated Jonas way back in 2008 — was first seen making friends with Turner around the time of the lawsuit, when the two grabbed dinner and drinks in NYC. Clearly, the girls night inspired the singer and actor to do the funniest thing possible: team up against the man who wronged them both, over a decade apart.

According to Page Six, Turner is staying in a Tribeca apartment Swift owns as an investment property as the divorce proceedings continue. The actor was photographed with her children moving into the home earlier this week. It must be nice to be on Swift’s good side!

Swift’s every relationship continues to dominate the news cycle — and the whole world, really. After the artist was seen cheering on her rumored new boyfriend Travis Kelce at a Kansas City Chiefs game, sales of Kelce’s jersey spiked 400% on the NFL merchandise website, and Heinz came out with a new condiment to commemorate the meal Swift ate at the Arrowhead Stadium. The singer will resume her “Eras Tour” this November; grab tickets here.
