Kanye West is in a ‘great headspace’ and ‘plotting his music comeback as he hits the recording studio’ after indecent exposure scandal in Italy
Kanye West is said to be marking out his musical comeback, just weeks after his indecent exposure scandal in Italy.
The rapper, 46, who faced backlash when he exposed his bare bottom on a boat ride in Venice, is seemingly moving on from the drama as he is reportedly in the studio and creating content for his next release.
Sources have told TMZ, the Stronger hitmaker is in a ‘great headspace’ and has completed nearly 10 songs in the past week.
Ty Dolla $ign, Ye’s collaborator, is also said to have joined him in the recording studio with talk they may release a joint album or solo endeavours.
The reported musical comeback would mark a poignant moment for Ye, who has faced a string of controversies in recent months.
MailOnline has contacted Kanye’s representatives for comment.
Last month, West and his ‘wife’ Bianca Censori, 28, sparked major controversy in the city of Venice after they were caught putting on a graphic display in the back of a river taxi.
Police investigated the couple over the ‘disrespectful’ incident that included West exposing his bare buttocks in public as Bianca curiously knelt before him with her head in his lap.
A spokesman for Venezia Turismo Motascafi – the firm that owned the boat the couple were on, said it was ‘completely unaware’ of the incident.
They added the pair would have been kicked off the boat if the driver had noticed their public exposure.
It went on: ‘The driver had to keep a lookout for traffic and did not see these obscenities.
‘If this had happened, he would have immediately disembarked and reported the transgressors to those in authority.’
The Italian rental company noted that ‘third person on board the taxi’ who was riding with Ye and Ms Censori had ‘obstructed the captain’s view’ to the back of the boat.
The company has since banned the couple from using their boats in the future.
This ban is not the first in recent times, as Bianca has recently sparked controversy in Italy due to her wardrobe choices.
Last month, Italian locals complained to the police that the 28-year-old was walking around in public ‘virtually naked’.
She managed to avoid a fine for that but if convicted of public indecency they could face a fine from €5,000 to €10,000.
The fashion designer – who is widely believed to be behind all of Censori’s recent and controversial looks – and his new muse were first romantically linked in January 2023.
It was just months after his divorce from Kim Kardashian was finalised.
Since Kayne’s release of Donda in 2021, he lost millions of fans after he went on a string of shocking anti-Semitic rants.
The rapper made headlines last autumn for suggesting on Instagram that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was being ‘controlled’ by Jews and later tweeting he would go ‘death con 3 on Jewish people.’
It saw Adidas terminate their $220million annual partnership with the rapper after putting it’s deal with Ye under review.
They claimed they made repeated efforts ‘to privately resolve the situation.’
GAP have also condemned West’s comments, saying that they are taking ‘immediate steps’ to remove Yeezy GAP products from their stores and shut down their website.
Universal Music’s Def Jam has also condemned West’s comments, after splitting with the rapper last year.
They said: ‘Def Jam’s relationship with Ye as a recording artists, its partnership with the GOOD Music label venture and Ye’s merchandise agreement with Bravado all ended in 2021.
‘There is no place for antisemitism in our society. We are deeply committed to combating antisemitism and every other form of prejudice.’
It came days after Kanye claimed on a podcast that the sneaker giant ‘cant drop him’, despite saying ‘anti-Semitic things’.
West has had several high-flying partnerships dropped in the aftermath of making a series of anti-Semitic outbursts.
His deal with Balenciaga and Gap also fell through, and the rapper was dropped by talent agency CAA.
