Collection of Eight Orange 2010 Aston Martins Are Heading to Auction

Bonhams is auctioning off a unique collection of vibrant citrus-hued 2010 Aston Martins. Eight various models of the luxury British sports car brand have been painted a striking tangerine orange hue for the Zoute Sale.

The collection consists of the British marque’s entire 2010 model line in the same orange color, with each of the cars barely driven before. At the turn of the last decade, Aston Martin received a request from an anonymous “private gentleman” who commissioned special Swiss-spec editions of each of the company’s eight road going cars in the exact same shade of orange. Not only are the exteriors in the special-order orange but so are the leather-covered interiors.

Highlighting the collection are two DBS models, the open-top Volante and the Coupe. Both are estimated to sell between $64,000 and $96,000 USD. The V12 Vantage Coupé and four-door Rapide are estimated to sell for $53,000 to $85,000 USD and $42,000 to $64,000 USD respectively. As for the V8 Vantage Coupé and the V8 Vantage Roadster, both are expected to go between $42,000 to $64,000 each USD. Bonhams compares the collection to the famous Hunter Green Collection of the late 1980s Aston Martin V8s sold by the auction about 15 years ago.

The sale is slated to happen on October 8 in Le Zoute, Belgium. Each of the Aston Martins are available for auction separately, though for those looking to purchase the entirety of the collection can expect to pay around $500,000 USD for all eight orange-hued models.
