Just a few days ago, Nas wiped his Instagram clean and posted a single Reel, showing a staticy screen from which the letter “N” appears.
Four days later, the rapper returned to his socials to give some more context to his last post. Nas shared that he will be delivering Magic 3, the third LP in the series, on Thursday, September 14.
The first installment, Magic, arrived in December 2021 as Nas’ fourteenth overall album and his third consecutive collaboration with producer Hit-Boy. The prolific duo returned with Magic 2 in July 2023, so fans certainly weren’t expecting another Magic record so soon after.
“I want to thank everyone for taking this ride with Hit-Boy and me,” Nas wrote in the caption. “It’s been nothing short of magical.”
The release date will coincide with the rapper’s 50th birthday, making it a truly momentous occasion.
While Nas has established himself as one of the most consistent rappers in the game, he’s been especially active in the studio as of late. Within the past roughly three years, he’s put out six full-length studio LPs.
Nas and Hit-Boy’s new album Magic 3 is out for streaming on Thursday, September 14.
In other music news, Drake said he’s dropping a new For All the Dogs track this week.
