The iPhone 15 is here. The new device was recently revealed at Apple‘s “Wonderlust” themed showcase and comes in four different models – iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max – which each boast a bevy of elevated features and functions.
iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus offer a run of “industry-leading durability features.” Flexing an industry-first color-infused back glass (available in five colorways: pink, yellow, green, blue, and black) the model sees a sleek new design, also showcasing a new contoured edge around the aluminum enclosure. It’s the A16 Bionic that ensures the iPhone 15 is maximizing its efficiency, fueling the Dynamic Island feature, which provides seamless accessibility to various apps and functions from the home screen. Unmatched photography capabilities include the device’s 48MP main camera featuring a new 24MP default and 2x Telephoto, which allow for super-high-resolution and super up-close (with up to three optical zoom levels) photos. Both models use a USB‑C connector, allowing users to charge their AirPods or Apple Watch directly from their iPhone.
Available in 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch display sizes, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus retail for $799 USD and $899 USD respectively. Pre-orders for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus begin this Friday, September 15, and general onsale begins next Friday, September 22.
As for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, the models boast a lightweight Titanium display with the most durable back glass and a new “Action” button on the side. Seeing the same contoured edges as the iPhone 15, it’s the Action button that allows users to personalize their iPhone experience; with the Action button, users can easily access the camera or flashlight features, Voice Memos app and a slew of other shortcuts. Available in four colorways, the Pro models also see even crisper photography features, offering up an all-new 5x Telephoto camera and updates to Focus and Depth Control as well as Night mode and Smart HDR. A17 Pro – the industry’s first 3-nanometer chip – allows for peak performance in gaming, delivering smoother graphics and only the utmost efficiency in streaming.
