Chlöe Bailey – aka Chlöe, aka 1/2 of musical duo Chlöe x Halle – is continuing to cement her legacy as a solo artist. Appearing on the latest iteration of NPR Music‘s Tiny Desk Concert Series, Chlöe offers up six tracks from throughout her career – and while the pop instrumentals are toned down, the energy is still contagiously high.
The songstress slides in with a stripped-back rendition of “Surprise.” It isn’t until she seamlessly transitions the 2022 hit into the beginning of “Body Do” that she takes a breath to introduce herself and pose a question to the audience. “I have a question for you guys … do you ever wonder, like, who else is f*cking your man?,” she asks before kicking off the sultry pop joint – dance moves and all – in the intimate setting.

“As I’m getting older I’m realizing that life can be a b*tch,” she earnestly reflects, having delivered the performance just ahead of her 25th birthday. “Instead of stressing out about what I can’t control, I’m just not gonna worry about it,” she prefaces before “Worried”, which is followed by the 2023 LP title track “In Pieces” and “Cheatback.” Check out the setlist in full below, and stream the concert in full above.
