Travis Scott announces first tour since Astroworld tragedy

Travis Scott has announced a 2023 tour heading across arenas and stadiums in North America this fall.

The “Travis Scott Presents Utopia – Circus Maximus” tour marks the rapper’s first run of dates since the 2021 Astroworld Festival tragedy, which left 10 people dead and thousands more injured. It kicks off on October 11th in Charlotte, North Carolina and also includes shows in Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas, Nashville, and New York City before wrapping up in Toronto on December 29th. Notably, a previously announced date in Houston, where Astroworld was held, has disappeared from the routing.

Update: Scott has added 11 new dates to the Utopia tour, including second nights in Dallas, Phoenix, Oakland, Miami, and Brooklyn. He’s also announced Teezo Touchdown as support on all dates. Tickets to the new shows go on sale on Friday, September 1st at 10:00 a.m. local time (grab them here), and $2 from every ticket will go to the nonprofit Cactus Jack Foundation, which provides toy drives, HBCU scholarship drives, and other financial aid to Houston youth. Check out the updated tour itinerary below.

Tickets to the rest of Scott’s tour are sold out via Ticketmaster. However, fans can get still find tickets via StubHub, where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

Scott enjoyed a massive first week for his fourth studio album, Utopia, which landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after the LP racked up nearly 500,000 equivalent album units in its opening frame. He was originally supposed to promote the project with a concert at the Pyramids of Giza, but that show was canceled due to “complex production issues.” Soon after, Scott performed a concert at Rome’s Circus Maximus which featured a surprise appearance from his mentor Kanye West — and resulted in 60 attendees needing medical attention after someone diffused pepper spray.
