Drake has publicly addressed the absence of his newest album For All the Dogs, which many fans expected to drop over the weekend.
The Boy spoke to the Seattle crowd of his It’s All a Blur Tour on the evening of August 25 to clarify a few misconceptions. “I know everybody’s upset that I didn’t drop an album last night. I didn’t say it was dropping last night. So don’t be mad at me,” he said. “I just said it was coming soon.”
“It’s not going to be that much longer, trust me. I’m finishing it up,” Drizzy added. “You know I got shows everybody. But I promise you, For All the Dogs is on the way. If you never loved anything I’ve ever done in the past, I promise you, this album will be for you. It’ll be worth the wait.”
Fans were dismayed after For All the Dogs didn’t land on streaming services this weekend, despite many hints of an August 25 release date.
Although Drake didn’t release the album last weekend, he did offer a merch drop to tide fans over.
