2023 Tour Championship leaderboard: Live updates, coverage, FedEx Cup Playoffs scores in Round 3

2023 Tour Championship leaderboard: Live updates, coverage, FedEx Cup Playoffs scores in Round 3

Two of the best and brightest head into the weekend at the 2023 Tour Championship with a share of the 36-hole lead. Collin Morikawa, fresh off breaking Tiger Woods’ 36-hole scoring record at East Lake Golf Club, and Viktor Hovland, fresh off winning the BMW Championship, find themselves at the top of the leaderboard at 16 under with two rounds left to play. Tied to one another due to their graduating class in college, the two will once again enjoy a new professional experience in lockstep.

Hoping to add to their already impressive PGA Tour résumés, one of Morikawa or Hovland may well be the one who raises the FedEx Cup trophy Sunday evening. They hold a two-stroke edge over the nearest chaser, which happens to be the man who led at the onset of the week thanks to his standing in the FedEx Cup, Scottie Scheffler. The world No. 1 battled back Friday with a 5-under 65 and sits at 14 under. Scheffler is paired with Keegan Bradley in the third round while a pair of heavy hitters in Jon Rahm and Xander Schauffele look to make their move from four adrift at 12 under. Three-time FedEx Cup champion and defending champion Rory McIlroy has fought admirably despite a troublesome back and is half a dozen behind at the halfway stage.
