Who had this on their bingo card? Future NBA Hall of Famer Steph Curry joined Paramore to sing “Misery Business” at the San Francisco stop of the band’s ongoing North American tour (grab tickets here) on Monday, August 7th.
While introducing the latest special guest to be inducted into the longtime tradition of singing the bridge of the Riot! cut, vocalist Hayley Williams described the occasion as a reunion. “So look, you know us and Steph, we go back a few years,” she said after Curry joined Paramore on stage, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. “And tonight is our reunion. Tonight we’re going to sing something together. And listen, from the moment Steph takes the mic, this is no longer a Paramore show, this is a Steph Curry show.”
Following the usual countdown, Curry launched into the song and jumped around the stage with the same enthusiasm he puts into in-game celebrations after long-range shots. Watch footage of Curry performing “Misery Business” with Paramore (via LIVE 105) below.

In her Instagram Story, Curry’s wife Ayesha Curry wrote about listening to Paramore on “one of our first dates” and how “they were kind enough” to play his 30th birthday party. “This is SO FREAKING COOL,” she added. “What a full circle moment. Thank you @paramore and @yelyahwilliams… ‘still into you’ took the night for us. Honestly, one of the coolest nights.”
Paramore are wrapping up the North American leg of their tour before heading over to Australia and New Zealand later this year. In 2024, they’ll open for Taylor Swift on her European tour. See their full itinerary, and find your seats here.
