A$AP Rocky‘s fans seem to think that he recently hinted on the release date on his album after a cryptic tweet. On the first day of the month, the artist took to Twitter to share a mysterious one-worded message, “AWGEST.” The minor misspelling of the eighth month of the year immediately got fans riled up for the debut of his upcoming album.
Just two weeks ago, Rocky dropped a music video for his new single “RIOT (ROWDY Pipe’n) signalling to fans that he is indeed working on additional projects. The last time Rocky dropped an album was in 2018. Titled Testing, his newest album Don’t Be Dumb is slated to be his first in five years. Fan had their own speculations once the tweet went live, with one who even said, “awgest=august so carti also part of awge that means carti and rocky dropping august.” Fans are eager for the album to drop with another declaring that it is “FLACK JODYE SEASONN”.
Earlier this year at Rolling Loud Miami 2023, Rocky previewed three songs from Don’t Be Dumb. One song in particular caught the attention of fans, seemingly taking shots at Travis Scott for stealing his flow and style. He also appeared to call out Ian Connors and A$AP Bari during his set.
